Čišćenje cijevi
Posted: 31 Jan 2012, 20:15
1. Terry Brady, 2005 600-Yard IBS Shooter of the Year
"I use moly and clean every two matches. I don't brush much, and if I do, I normally use nylon brushes."
2. Joe Entrekin, 2003 Score Shooter of Year (2004 Runner-Up)
"I shoot Danzac-coated bullets and clean once per weekend--every 200 rounds or so. I haven't used a brush in over six years. Nearly all the top score shooters run long intervals between cleanings."
3. Joel Kendrick, 2004 IBS 600-yard Shooter of the Year
"I've shot some of my best groups at 600 with a dirty barrel (30-35 rounds). When I shoot at 600 I'll normally shoot the whole match without cleaning."
4. Tim North, 2003 NBRSA 1000-Yard Champion, President of Broughton Rifle Barrels
"I'll clean every 30-50 rounds. Don't draw a bronze brush backwards across the crown. Over time the bristles will fret (degrade) the razor-sharp edge on the crown, which is important for accuracy."
5. Jerry Tierney, 2005 NBRSA 1000-Yard Champion
Member, U.S. Palma Team
"For my 6.5-284 and .284 I clean every 100-150 rounds and normally do not brush. I'll go even longer with the .308. I've found that my X-count peaked with the Palma rifle at the fourth or fifth match (about 200-300 rounds)."
6. David Tubb, 11-Time NRA (Camp Perry) National Champion
"I shoot moly-coated bullets. I usually shoot 400-450 rounds with the 6XC and DTAC 115s. Then I clean the barrel thoroughly with Sweet's 7.62 and brass brush."
7. Stan Ware, SGR Custom Rifles, Gunsmith and Score Shooter
"I normally go 80-95 rounds between cleanings. My 30BR is capable of .068" MOA accuracy and I've seen no drop off in accuracy for 100 rounds or more. I've seen barrels ruined with abrasive cleaners."
8. AccurateShooter - What I do see is a lot of PPC barrels worn-out after 600 rounds when they've been brushed aggressively every 10 rounds or so. I don't see quality barrels giving up the ghost so early when they have been brushed infrequently, with bronze brushes used sparingly. My own 3-groove, 8-twist 6BR barrel has never seen a brush in over 400 rounds and I've never used JB, Rem-Clean, or Iosso paste. I clean with wet patches and Wipe-Out only, and the lands are still very sharp, the crown is undamaged, copper fouling is negligible, there's no carbon problem, and accuracy is as good as new.
